STEP A1 Elaboration of management plans
STEP E1 Production of informative documents
STEP F3 Monitoring

Step E1 (Production of informative documents).

The step E1 explicitly foresees the production of various informative documents meant to spread to the public in a simple, but strictly scientific way, the aims and the interventions of the Life Natura project. The informative documents produced aim at favouring a sustainable use of the preserved habitats, at promoting the project knowledge among the enthusiast naturalists and the citizens who live in the park territory.

To this aim, the step E1 foresees the realization of:
  • A WEB site. The creation of a space dedicated to the Life project into the Euganean Hills Park web site is planned.
  • Informative panels to be placed in the territory. They are made up by 40 informative posters placed outdoors near the sites with the highest naturalistic value, with the illustration of the most relevant ecological aspects and advices and prescriptions for a correct habitat fruition . The positioning of 25 panels by the intervention sites and 15 panels into the squares of the Park towns is scheduled.
  • Volume about habitats.A descriptive volume about the interventions carried out on grassland, white oak’s woods and wetlands will be made. The volume will contain the Project Life presentation, a description of the habitats and of the species, the results of the monitoring activities and a guide for the sites visit. The volume will include 70-80 pages, partially in colour, and will be printed in 10000 copies.
  • Final bilingual diffusion report. It will be made up of a leaflet including eight pages, A4 size in colour, handy to a quick presentation of the project in a technical-scientific framework. The brochure, describing the habitats, the threats, the steps, the project goals and results, will be useful to the circulation of the project in local exhibitions, fairs, conferences, meetings and other events in which the Park is periodically involved on a national and regional basis.
  • Articles with divulgative-scientific aim. During the project making we expect the realization of at least 2 articles with scientific and divulgative purpose, in magazines with national circulation, aiming at the project presentation, illustration of current activities and results obtained.

In addition to what was foreseen in the initial project, the Park Body made:

  • Calendar 2006. For the year 2006 the Park calendar was fully centred on the project called “Life Natura”. This calendar has been delivered free of change in 43.000 copies to the inhabitants of the Park district.
  • Round table about the project “Life Natura”. In June 2006 a round table for technicians concerning the project “Life Natura” in the Euganean Hills Park was held near Praglia’s Abbey – Teolo (PD). During the round table a visit to some representative sites of intervention was also organized.
